Dr. Samuels did my RNY/w/banding 10 years ago. I'm doing fine, but I'm now in my mid-sixties and having problems with arthritis (and a possible knee replacement). What anti-inflammatories and/or pain killers may I use??? Until now, I have taken nothing in these 10 years, but pain is increasing esp in the knee (which has been bad since polio as a kid).. thanks Question: I currently have the lapband. I have lost about 50 lbs. and still weigh 190. I am having problems with reflux at night and not losing. Band was too tight and esophagus stretched some. Had unfill for 1 mo and two fills since then, still refluxing. Going this Thursday to have some removed even though I am not losing or gaining. Question: I am a former patient of Dr. Norman Samuels (and a very satisfied one at that!)and I was inquiring on how to obtain a copy of my medical records from your office in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. It has been several years since i've has the surgery done and I am contimplating plastic surgery. The Dr. would like a copy of my records. My surgery was done, I believe in May of 2000. I am one of Dr. Samuels success stories. I started at a weight of close to 400 lbs. and I am now at 180lbs. When I reach my goal of (for now 175lbs) and soon after 150lbs, I would like to have some work done on my body to enhance my looks and success of this surgery. Thanks for your attention. : )
