Follow-up Program.

We recommend a follow-up visit about 1 to 2 weeks after surgery and once a month as long as you are still losing weight. After that, you must be monitored  once a year and have specialized blood tests.. These follow-up visits are necessary in order to monitor the weight loss and your overall state of health.

To help you make the physical and emotional adjustments that accompany rapid weight loss, we also recommend monthly support group sessions with the surgeons as well as a registered dietician and trained PhD psychologists experienced in working with those who have had obesity surgery. Individual counseling is also available as needed. We will always be available to answer questions that may arise.
