The Center for Severe Obesity has an experienced staff of surgeons and ancillary personnel including Dieticians and Psychologists who are not only fully qualified in their fields, but also have extensive training and experience in these fields as they apply to bariatric surgery.  

We have over 20 years experience in Bariatric Surgery with thousands of patients.  As a result we have been able to assist and advise hospitals on the purchase of appropriate equipment, training of nurses and operating room personnel and the establishment of a full program.

We are able to provide hands-on training  for surgeons with proctoring in your institution wherever in the world it may be. We will travel to your hospital and not only assist and advise on the establishment of a complete Bariatric Surgery Program, but also give seminars if desired.

Our laparoscopic consultant surgeon, has performed thousands of laparoscopic gastric bypasses and has trained surgeons in several countries.

There are several other medical specialities who need to be involved in such a program such as anesthesia, pulmonary, cardiology, critical care, endocrinology, hematology, gastro-enterology, radiology and of course, later on with massive weight loss, a plastic surgeon with experience in body contouring.  

We are able to provide the services of these consultants in an advisory capacity by telephone, video-conferencing, or if necessary a visit to your location to give a seminar or other assistance.

In short we stand ready and able to be at your side as you develop your  Bariatric Surgery program. It has been shown that the average laparoscopic bariatric surgeon needs to have done at least 100 cases before he or she becomes fully proficient.  For this reason we believe it is essential for any new program that the trainers remain available for advice and assistance as long as needed.
